V2.1.9 – Performance and Unsubscribe Links

At Client Book CRM, we are committed to providing you with the best CRM and clienteling software for jewelry and retail. Yesterday we released a follow-up update to V2.1.8. We are excited to tell you about this update and how you can benefit.


Automated Unsubscribe links for email marketing

As of yesterday, all email campaigns will have a unsubscribe link automatically appended to them. This feature will help ensure that your email campaigns are CAN-SPAM compliant. You still have the ability to add your own unsubscribe link or you can use the tag {{unsubscribe}} when creating an email campaign to tell the system where you want the unsubscribe link to be inserted. You can use this tag in the email campaign content itself, email templates, company signature (which would insert and enforce the unsubscribe link in all email from your company), store signature (which would insert and enforce the unsubscribe link in all emails from users in a specific store), or in an employee signature (which would insert and enforce the unsubscribe link in all emails from a specific user).

You can find the unsubscribe tag and it’s description under the “Sender Information” drop down, which is located in numerous places throughout Client Book CRM.

When your email is sent, the recipient will see a “Unsubscribe” link in the email where the {{unsubscribe}} tag was. If no unsubscribe tag is present, the link will be appended to the bottom of the email content.

Once the recipient clicks the unsubscribe link, they will be taken to a unsubscribe page. This page will have the name of your company at the top and will give the recipient the opportunity to unsubscribe from future emails.

When the recipient submits this request any client, lead, or significant other with that email address will be marked as “Do not contact via email” and will be added to a master company-wide unsubscribe list. You will be able to see this on the client’s or lead’s details page under “Email Subscription”.

From that point on, the unsubscribed email address will no longer be clickable. Employee’s of that company will also no longer be able to send emails to that email address from anywhere in Client book CRM.


Major performance improvements

In this update, we also included a few major performance improvements. These performance improvements reduce the time required for your browser to download the needed files and resources in order to present a page to you. Our results have been very positive. We have seen up to a 65% reduction in page load times in some cases and 20%-30% in most cases.
